            • I have an 13' ceiling. How high would the platform be when fully lowered?

              With a 13 ft ceiling the platform would still reach all the way to the floorwhen completely lowered.

            • I have an 11' ceiling. How high would the platform be when fully lowered?

              With an 11 ft ceiling you could lower the platform all the way to the floor.

            • Can this be used with 9 ft garage

              Yes, but you would need to check clearances of any vehicle you may want to park underneath.

            • Do you have people who can install? We are seniors and could not install.

              For our customers that would need installation we suggest checking at your local hardware store or home improvement store such as Lowes, Menard's or Home Depot.Ā  At the service desk they normally maintain a list of local contractors that can handle any project you may have.

            • Is the total strap distance 12 or 15'. My attic subfloor is 11' above the ground

              The length of the straps not including any part of the platform assembly is 12 feet.

            • Is the motor run off of batteries or does it require an 15am electrical plug in?

              No batteries required.Ā  People normally plug it into the outlet on the ceiling of most garages that is used for the garage door opener.

            • Outside lift Ground to 10 foot deck

              If you are asking "can it be used outside?", then the answer is no.Ā  It would immediately void all warranties for being used in a way other than it's intended application.

            The lift itself is 5 stars. Good design, easy to install, works great. The platform left a lot to be desired. Missing hardware, misaligned bolt holes, shoddy. I'll buy another lift for sure I'll just skip the platform this time!

            Good Product. Poor follow-up

            I bought 2 with the promise that they would find a person to install in my area who had experience with Garage Gator install. Tried twice with NO response. Ended up with bids that were $300 EACH. At that price I would have passed on the purchase.

            We do not offer installation on any of our products, nor do we promise to find installers. If someone is not comfortable installing themselves then we always suggest you find a local contractor at your neighborhood Menards, Lowes, contractor desk.

            I wish I could shorten the cables so the platform could be taken higher and closer to the garage ceiling.

            Lift Platform safety modifications to cables required for lower garage ceilings

            Platform Lift as designed is dangerous for garages with ceilings lower the 10' as the platform when raised would be at head height for most people. Asked via email about availability of shorter 2' platform cables (about 3' cables provided) but never even received a courtesy reply. Eventually I purchased some stronger factory made 1/4" 2' cables which allowed the raised platform to safely accommodate people 6' in my garage. Other then the safety issue it is great and functions as intended. Also, there was a problem getting an explanation of the undocumented "pins" in the parts. Finally I got an explanation & picture from the Canadian office after a few emails and messages. Even the online YouTube and other videos were outdated. Manufacture needs a complete and updated company video & documentation be posted on the internet for the current product.

            VERY SATISFIED

            The product was as described, and it arrived reasonably fast. The only caution (not a problem) is that the load needs to have its weight distributed evenly over the platform, otherwise it starts leaning sideways. It is easy to do.
